Bernie touched me on so many levels with his music & I was blessed to have seen him about 15 times since 1994 or so. I wrote a tribute to him, & I hope his family, friends & family give it a read. He was a true pioneer & a one of a kind. RIP

My pops introduced me to Parliament/Funkadelic when I was about four. What mesmerized me was the the funky synth riffs that Bernie created. He left us with amazing music. My condolences to the family, friends, and fans. Godspeed, Bernie. Heaven just got a little bit funkier.

Sometimes it is so hard to say goodbye to a friend never met but enjoyed his music most of my life. Thank you for everything that you introduced to us. Bernie you are loved and will be missed fly on brother.

My heart is so heavy right now. I remember as a child being a true funkateer playing all parliament music. Whatever Bernie ' s costume was I would try to make it at home get in front of the mirror and act as if I were on stage with the crew...years later I was afforded the privilege of working as Funkadelics stage tech, boy what a blast and cherishable experience. Bernie was my big inspiration. To this day when I'm playing keys it is him I think about and try to be like...Now this, but God truly loves him better than we could ever imagine. Love you Woo
