You are a true legend, a true genius, a keyboard wizard and one of my biggest musical influences. Your genius will live on forever in the music you made and in the contributions you've made to music. I've been listening to Bernie non stop for a few days now. What an amazing person. I'll never forget the brief time I got to meet Bernie, or the times i stood there bobbing my head with a psycho grin on my face watching his wizardry on the keys. He truly was one of a kind.
My mother too died from lung cancer, and unfortunately was rather quick, I'm glad he had some time with family before he returned to the mothership. My deepest condolonces to Judie and his family and close friends.

Bernie, you are a shining light whose light shall forever shine upon us. You left an indelible mark on the world with your incredible contributions to music and the love that you expressed toward humanity. I will miss your earthly presence greatly and feel blessed that I had the opportunity to hear you play and to meet you in person. You will forever have your piece of light under the sun.

Thanks Bernie for gifting the world with music. I was also a keyboard player with Hugh Masekela during the Mothership Connection tour featuring Parliament Funkadelics in 1974, Bernie was such an inspiration to me. Rest on well in the land of the Spirits.

Bernie was a massive influence on my life. His music inspired me to pursue my own which I will forever be thankful for. As long as there's a funky person left on Earth, Bernie's huge soul and talent will live on! My thoughts go out to his loved ones and family. Group hug
