...For we may never know, all the people we have reached. For we may never know, all the lives we have touched. But we know YOU know, for our record you do keep and when the end has finally begun, we will receive a great reward for what we've done... (Marvin Winans) RIP Uncle Bernie! No words can express the love and respect I have for you. I will never forget...

Judie and Bassl, so sorry to hear of Bernie's passing. We saw him perform a few years ago in Frostburg, MD and he took a few minutes to talk to us, proud of Bassl. Remembering how graciously he performed at ECLC. Loved his music

A the best to Bernie's Family and Friends. He had such an impact on the world-- made it a better place. The man was a genius.

Maybe it's not the time to say it-- or maybe it is exactly the right time to say it-- but, it's sad that so many of us have to turn to crowd funding to pay for medical treatment. There's something wrong here. We can do better-- one nation under a groove.

Jam on, Bernie.

Judie, my heart is with you in your grieving. As a kid in JC,NJ in High School during those formative P-Funk years I remember how Bernie really touched me musically. He really came to the fore on America Eats Its Young and as we know his musical influence took off greatly from there. I met him in Ballard Seattle a few years ago and that Jersey City kid came back as I gushed at meeting one of my heroes. That was the first real conversation. I actually first met him in 1975 in Norfolk when the Funks opened for Rufus and Chaka. He was in the crowd after the Funks played a blistering set, but he just wanted to check out Rufus from in front of the stage. Grace, Class, Genius. Love you Dr. Worrell.

R.I.P. You Funky Homosapien. When the Mothership landed in Kansas City eons ago, You took my hand and lead me aboard. We funked up that place. Then again with spaceman Clinton and Parliment for an all night funkadelic disco deep in the heart of the Ozarks. My Funkster, my brother in the groove, the man of sultry funkalicious decadent sound clouds. You will always be a funkitonic riff of vibratory sonic seduction deep in my soul. With feather in hand, My Hat is off to you.

Bernie you are one of a kind . I will never forget all the times I saw you play and the times we spent together working on projects such as burning spear Jah is real studio album and Bearcreek plus a bunch of other places and films. You were born 4/19 and I 4/20, You left us on 6/24 and my son was born on 6/25! Respect Bernie. Everyone who was in your presence was lifted to a higher ground. The most humble and good man you were!

Parliament/Funkadelic helped me get through Nam and so many other things.
When I saw them in Michigan many moons ago, they dropped the Mothership on the stage and I could not contain myself. wished I had had some of the meds they had to have taken. -)
RIP Bernie and you helped make my funk the P-Funk. Love you and peace to all who felt the same.
