Dear Brother Bernie, there will always be a place in my heart and soul for your kind of genius. Your Soul has rejoined The Great Spirit in the Sky and it is now that much funkier. We will celebrate you, your music and your Spirit always. I was Bernie and Judie's auto mechanic when they lived in NJ. I didn't know of their notoriety for almost a year after we met but I always admired them as being really down to earth people. After I found out Bernie told me he was raised to be humble. I have to say he was one of the nicest gentleman I have ever had the pleasure of knowing! RIP my friend and I hope one day we meet again!

There have been some big names who have left this world but, for me, none more important than Bernie who I once met at a P-Funk concert in London while he was walking to the stage. He stopped for a chat before performing all of his wizardry. The news hardly got any coverage in the UK as politics this week took over. I just want to thank Bernie. P-funk has been my saviour overs the years and the Wizard of Woo played a huge part in that. So, off the iPod goes Prince to be replaced by Insurance Man for the Funk. Genius.

When I go to a funkadelic show i look on the stage to see who was there I would look for two people,Skeet Curtis and Bernie Worrell, my top five P-Funk jams has Insurance Man for the Funk in it.........Rest In Peace Bernie

As a life-long Funkateer I finally had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Worrell at a small record shop in Pittsburgh a few years ago. He was extremely kind to us all and will be sorely missed. RIP Bennie!

I saw Bernie many times over the last 40 years
The last time I saw him was in Wilmington NC with The Woo Warriors a few years ago
We stayed up late after the show and had a wonderful time talking about music and some of his past concerts

Grew up listening to the master, all P-Funk all the time. RIP Bernie, best keyboard wizard hands down. I will keep listening to All The Woo In The World.
