I always say, I hate death. And I say it again now. The death of a musical genius such as Dr. Worrell is tragic and sad. I Pray his family will be comforted with their lives and hope.

My sympathies to the family of music master Bernie Worrell. His contributions were numerous to modern music and the funk idiom and yet he respected, recognized and continued the tradition and legacy of our musical roots. Thank you, sir. We will never forget you.

Bernie was one of the greatest keyboard players of all time. There's not enough time in the day to describe his impact on the P-Funk. Yet there was so much more to his music than just that. He really had the whole spectrum of musical genres at his fingertips with his limitless talent. Let me just say RIP Bernie Worrell and may your music and spirit live forever.

I only want to remember the good times not bad. , when we went to church together, he came to my home to play my spinet piano. also sang with Bernie long before the Parliments and The Escorts...
