BERNIE WORRELL will be performing at the “Hot & Cool NEC Jazz 40^th Summit” which also  features some of today’s top performers: keyboardist JOHN MEDESKI of Medeski, Martin & Wood;, MacArthur Fellowship winning composer/pianist RAN BLAKE, drummer ANTON FIG who appears nightly on the David Letterman show, “contemporary bluegrass prodigy” and NEC student SARAH JAROSZ who has earned wide acclaim for her debut CD Song Up in Her Head, jazz vocal legend DOMINIQUE EADE, and the joyous and bold music of LAKE STREET DIVE (Rachael Price, Michael Calabrese, Bridget Kearney, Mike Olson).  MC for the evening will be WBGO’s Josh Jackson.
